If you've studied the law of attraction at all, you might be familiar with the concept of "clearing."
If you're not, here's the cliff notes version.
Everything you've attracted into your life is a result of your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. Yet, most of us, aren't even aware of our thoughts and beliefs because they are operating on an "unconscious" level.
Those "unconscious" beliefs, whatever they may be, are the ones doing all the attracting. For instance, let's say you want to attract more money. You declare to the Universe your intention to attract "more money."
Well...what happens?
You may or may not attract more money depending on what your unconscious beliefs are about money. For instance if you believe that "money is evil" or "rich people are greedy" you're not likely to attract an extra dime.
So, how do you know what you "unconsciously" believe?
Well, for starters you can take a look at your results. Whatever you have in your life is a direct result of what you unconsciously believe. Yet, if you look around and see some things you don't prefer, don't worry. This is where the concept of "clearing" comes into play. If you want to attract more of what you want, all you have to do is "clear" your subconscious mind of it's limiting or unhealthy beliefs.
How do you do this?
Well, there are many ways but one of the most powerful ways I know of is with gratitude.
Gratitude has a way of cleaning and cleaning that I haven't ever been able to fully explain. But I HAVE experienced it many times over. Let me do my best to explain how you can use gratitude in a practical way to get more of what you want. Let's go back to our money example. You want to attract more money right?
Of course you do. So does everyone else. So, the best way to "clean" yourself of any blocks stopping you from attracting money is to be genuinely grateful for the money you have in your life and the money you have coming to you.
This is easier than it seems at first. Take an honest look at your life. You have SOME money. You probably have some sort of shelter or roof over your head, and you likely have transportation and a job.
If you don't, find something in your current reality to be grateful for. One thing that always helps me is to think about people in third-world countries. They literally have nothing. Many of them are starving and have no idea where their next meal is coming from.
It's not so much that I'm trying to compare myself to them. I'm just using them as a baseline to give myself a different perspective on my life and what I have. When I think of what they have (or don't have), it makes me feel like I'm living like a king.
It also makes me want to help them.
See, now I've moved into a different mindset. I have a new paradigm about things and I'm activating the law of attraction to bring me more of what I want (more of "living like a king" and more money to give to people in third world countries).
In fact, I would venture to say, if you can't be grateful for what you do have right now, there's little chance you'll attract more of it.
Yet, on the other hand, when you start to genuinely feel grateful for the things in your life, you'll be amazed at what else the Universe will send your way.
This is but one of the many insights I'm learning as I embark on my quest to awaken. I'm applying the law of attraction in my life daily to fulfill as much of my potential as I can.
