The Law of Attraction is based on the notion that "like attracts like." The difficulty many encounter with this principle is when they attempt to use the Law without all the essential components; they fail to achieve the desired result. It is similar to baking a cake without all the necessary ingredients. If one is missing, the cake will not come out right. It is easy to understand why the Law of Attraction is so appealing, but the lack of understanding often leads to some common mistakes:
Saying the Words
Positive thinking is not just a recitation of words and phrases in the hopes that saying them will change your life. These words must come with real emotions. You must believe what you are saying. If you say "I deserve to get that promotion," then you must believe that it is true. That is when you will begin to see changes.
Impatience
Patience is indeed, a virtue. If you have asked for it, it's coming. It is important to remember that the Law works on its schedule, not yours. You must also believe in the Law. If you do, then just sit back and relax. It's on its way.
Frustration and disappointment at not receiving your desires when you want them only keeps you out of alignment with the Law. Your actions show that you are focusing on what you don't have yet.
When you are open, trusting, and ready to receive, then Allowing comes into play. But, first impatience must be absent for this change to happen.
Interference
The Law of Attraction states, Ask-Accept-Allow. You are responsible for the first and third step. The Universe takes care of the second step. If you interfere, then you are not letting the Universe play its intended role in the Law. In this regard, you are illustrating your lack of trust in the Law of Attraction which is trying to give you what you desire.
Future Returns
Gratitude is an essential component to manifesting dreams. When you focus on a plan for the future all those things will eventually manifest. Though, you must remember to be grateful for your whatever you are asking for whether the car, perfect weight, soul mate, European trip. The day-to-day experience is what captures your attention and what you focus your attention on grows.
